Militia continue to patrol the property of rancher Cliven Bundy, who’s been letting his cattle graze on federal land in Nevada for more than 20 years without a permit, Wednesday.
One militia member, Jonathan Q. Logan, spoke about the current and ongoing conflict between the US Bureau of Land Management and other ranch owners, saying he wants “people in foreign countries to realise that Americans are not our government, so when you see us in your countries know that we’re just taking a break from tyrannus hell over here.”
The militia includes war veterans and soldiers to armed militias like the North Keeper militia or the Utah State militia.
Over 1000 armed protesters forced the BLM to back down last week after they attempted to enforce federal grazing fences. Neither Bundy or his supporters recognise the federal government’s constitutional authority to manage public lands within a state.
