President Obama is on a two-day, non-stop “America Forward!” tour with grassroots events in Iowa, Colorado and Nevada. On Thursday President Obama will continue the tour with grassroots events in Florida, Virginia and Ohio.

The “America Forward!” tour will crisscross the nation, reaching as many voters as possible about the critical choice in this election — moving America forward toward an economy built to last with a strong middle class versus going back to the same policies that crashed our economy in the first place.

The American Gaming Association looks forward to the 2016 presidential election with the launch of a national ‘Gaming Votes’ initiative. The campaign will inform voters and candidates on casino gaming’s vital role in providing middle class jobs, especially for Latin employees.

[MundoFox Reporter] Tamie Soto explains [the significance of the AGA’s ‘Gaming Votes’ campaign].

This morning, the American Gaming Association announced a new initiative in anticipation of the 2016 presidential election, in an effort to educate candidates on gaming policy and the future of the industry.

‘It is important for presidential candidates to understand that the casino gaming industry offers good jobs and benefits for employees who will be voting in the election,’ [said AGA Director of Communications Chris Moyer].

This initiative also aims to guide the industry’s employees to elect the candidate who will better provide economic growth in their chosen career path.

The American Gaming Association says that casino gaming employs more than half a million workers whose endorsements would be of significant advantage to the candidates who support the industry.

Twenty percent of gaming industry employees are Latin; and they are provided with job opportunities in a wide spectrum of career fields.

The AGA will carry out the [‘Gaming Votes’] campaign with local events in battleground states such as Iowa, Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Nevada prior to the presidential election.
