Lyrics to Sing Along :-
————————————-
Yankee Doodle went to town,
Riding on a Pony,
Stuck a feather in his cap,
And called him Macaroni,

Yankee Doodle keep it up,
Yankee Doodle Dandy,
Mind the music and the step,
And with the Girls be handy.

Father and I went down to camp,
Along with Captain Gooding,
And there we saw the men and boys,
Thick as Hasty Pudding

Yankee Doodle keep it up,
Yankee Doodle Dandy,
Mind the music and the step,
And with the Girls be handy.

There was Captain Washington,
Upon a slapping stallion,
Giving orders to his men,
I guess there were a million.

Yankee Doodle keep it up,
Yankee Doodle Dandy,
Mind the music and the step,
And with the Girls be handy.

Um. The origin of Yankee is British slang for wanker. Doodle is old German for fool or idiot. The song is ascribed to a British Army doctor on seeing the rebel forces. Ok, Mate? Uh – is that Homeland Security knocking at my door?
