BTS wraps up the show with a look at who the ‘sequester’ is affecting the most; while congress protects their perks at airports, the poorest in this country bear the brunt of the burden of these automatic spending cuts.

  6. The question is always asked, "why hasn't the minimum wage kept up with inflation?". The question to ask is "why is there inflation?" The erosion of the purchasing power of our money is the issue. The quality of the money, not the quantity. The inflation that we have is not just some thing that happens year after year, it is the result of bad economic policy. Stop asking "why do I only get $7.50", and start asking "why isn't $7.50 enough anymore?".

  9. It isn't just minimum wage, all wages are stagnant. I work in information technology, I'm working harder than ever and I make the same wage I made 25 years ago. I also have 100 times the knowledge I had in 1988. The government tells us there is no inflation, that no cost of living increase is necessary.

    If we are locking up those who expose animal cruelty, why are we surprised that 87%

  14. Workers should think out of a box and not be conditioned unrestrictedly by High Society "propagad". Instead of on and on arguing for Minimum Wage, workers should really be asking for Golden Parachutes that top management prepare for themselves in the Banking Industry. So that in event of termination without good cause, workers have to be compensated by the company for loss of earnings. This is what smart top managers would require for the contracts they prepare for themselves. So union workers ?
