Politics Today: 'Catch And Shoot Corrupt Public Officers', Ogunlewe Advises Pt.3

In a reporter on corruption with countries’ rankings, Transparency International placed Nigeria 136 in the world.

It said there is 94 per cent corruption within the political parties and the Executive Arm of government, 92 per cent in the Nigeria Police Force.

The judiciary and Legislature equally don’t have a good rating at all.

If that makes you mad about the corruption situation in Nigeria, may be this one might make you more furious.

About 20 to 25 per cent of Nigeria’s yearly revenue are stolen or unaccounted for.

In monetary sense, between 150 and 200 billion dollars are said to be stolen between 10 years

President Muhammadu Buhari appears not to be joking about the fight against corruption and when he assumed office his intentions were clear.

A few cases of investigations have commenced but the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) believes, the activities of the anti-graft agencies are directed to harass some of their leaders and members.

Some analysts, a former Minister of Works and chieftain of the PDP, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe and a former member of the House of Representatives and an APC member, Honourable West Idahosa look at the anti-corruption war and the PDP claims.

Senator Ogunlewe suggested that corrupt public officers should be shot if found guilty.
